How to convert JPG to PDF on any device

Quick answer
How do I convert JPG images to PDF?
Open Mergevanta's JPG to PDF tool, add one photo or a whole batch, drag them into order, pick a page size and press Merge. Every image becomes a page of one PDF, and the JPEG data is embedded without re-compression, so quality doesn't drop. It's free, with no watermark or sign-up.
How to convert JPG to PDF, step by step
Which page size should you choose?
| Page size | Best for |
|---|---|
| A4 | Printing, and documents for most of the world |
| A4 landscape | Wide photos, slides and screenshots |
| Letter | Printing in the US and Canada |
| Fit to image | Reading on screen: each page takes the size of its photo |
Portrait and landscape photos can sit in the same PDF. The glossary explains A4 and US Letter if you're not sure which your printer uses.
Will converting JPG to PDF reduce quality?
Not with Mergevanta. Many converters decode each photo and compress it again, which adds a second round of lossy compression and blurs fine detail. Mergevanta copies the JPEG data into the PDF unchanged, so the PDF is exactly as sharp as the photos you added.
The flip side is file size: a PDF made from ten 4 MB photos will be roughly 40 MB. If you need a smaller file to email, resize the photos first and then convert them.
Converting JPG to PDF on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac
- iPhone and iPad: open the tool in Safari, tap the drop zone and choose Photo Library or Browse. The PDF saves to Files › Downloads.
- Android: open the tool in Chrome, tap the drop zone and pick photos from your gallery or Files. The PDF lands in your Downloads folder.
- Windows and Mac: drag photos straight from File Explorer or Finder onto the drop zone.

Mixing JPG with PNG and other images
You don't need to convert everything to JPG first. PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP images can go into the same PDF alongside your JPGs. For screenshots and graphics, PNG to PDF keeps sharp edges lossless, and JPG vs PNG explains which format suits which image.
