The short version

Mergevanta never stores your files. Many tools run entirely in your browser, so the file never leaves your device. Tools that use our server get files up to 4 MB encrypted end to end, process them in memory and delete them as soon as the result is sent back to you. Each tool page says where its files are processed. Your documents are never sold, there is no account to create and there is no queue your files sit in.

What we never keep

  • Your files, or the files we create for you. They exist only in memory while they are processed and are deleted as soon as the result is returned.
  • Copies, backups or previews of your documents.
  • Accounts, passwords or profile data, because Mergevanta has no accounts.

What we may collect

Like most websites, our hosting provider may record standard technical information when your browser requests a page or sends a file to be processed — for example an IP address, browser type, the address requested and a timestamp. This is used only to run the service securely and to understand overall traffic volumes. It never includes the contents of your documents.

If processing fails unexpectedly, the server records a short technical error report so that we can fix the problem. Our hosting provider keeps these reports for a limited time, and they are used for nothing else.

If we use privacy-respecting analytics, it is configured to avoid cookies and cross-site tracking, and to never receive file data.

How your files are processed

In your browser. Many tools — such as splitting, rotating, organizing, signing, editing, scanning and OCR — read and process the file with code running in your browser. The file is never uploaded.

On our server. Some tools need our server, for example to compress, repair, redact or convert Office files, and merges and conversions of files up to 4 MB. Your browser encrypts the files with a fresh key made for that one request — hybrid X25519 and ML-KEM-768 key agreement with AES-256-GCM, on top of HTTPS — and sends them to our server, which is the only place they can be decrypted. The server processes them in memory, encrypts the result for your browser and sends it straight back. Nothing is written to disk, and the files are discarded as soon as the reply is sent. Where a tool can also run in your browser, larger files are processed there instead.

AI tools. The AI Summarizer and Translate PDF extract the text of your document in your browser. Only that text — never the file — is sent, encrypted, to our server, which passes it to the third-party AI model we use to write the summary or translation and returns the result to you. We don't store the text or the result. Don't use these tools for documents you aren't comfortable sharing with an AI service.

HTML to PDF. The web address you enter is opened by an isolated browser on our server and printed to PDF; an uploaded HTML file is handled the same way, in memory. The website you convert sees a visit from our server, not from you. Nothing is stored.

Camera. Scan to PDF uses your camera only after you allow it, and the photos it takes stay in your browser.

Cookies and local storage

Mergevanta does not require cookies to function. We do not sell data to third parties. If a preference of ours is remembered — or a signature you ask Sign PDF to remember — it is stored in your browser's local storage, stays on your device, and can be removed at any time.

Third-party resources

Some tools download extra components from a public content delivery network (jsDelivr) the first time they need them — for example the OCR engine and its language data, or character maps for Chinese, Japanese and Korean text. Those requests download code and data only; they never include your documents.

Advertising

Pages may display advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google. Google uses cookies (such as the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Ads are placed only in the reserved sections of this site and never overlay, read or interact with the content of any file you open.

Children's privacy

Mergevanta is not directed at children and, since we do not collect personal information through the tools, we do not knowingly collect data from anyone.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Because Mergevanta doesn't keep your files or any personal data from them, there is typically nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have a question, contact us at orbitvantasolution@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
