What you get

Why use Mergevanta to convert PDF to PowerPoint

Text you can edit

Headings, bullets and paragraphs become text boxes with their font, size, color, bold and italic, placed where they were on the page.

Design kept intact

Backgrounds, photos, charts and shapes stay in place behind the text, so the slides still look like the PDF.

Images only when you want

Choose Images only for an exact copy of each page — handy for presenting a PDF as it is.

Private by design

Files are encrypted end to end, processed in memory and never stored; large files are converted in your browser instead.

FAQ

PDF to PowerPoint questions

Yes. With Editable text, each block of text becomes a text box you can type in. Rotated text and text that is part of a picture — a scanned page or a chart image — stays in the background.

PDFs up to 4 MB are processed on Mergevanta's server, encrypted end to end and deleted as soon as the presentation is sent back. Larger PDFs are converted in your browser, where each slide is a picture of the page.

Text boxes use the PDF's font names, sizes and colors. If a font isn't installed on your computer, PowerPoint swaps in a similar one, so lines can come out slightly longer or shorter.

Slides take the size of the first page, so a 16:9 PDF gives 16:9 slides and an A4 document gives A4 slides. Pages of a different size are scaled to fit.

A scanned page is a picture, so its slide is a picture too and its text can't be edited.

Yes. Enter the password when asked; it's used only to open the file for this conversion.
