What you get

Why use Mergevanta to convert PDF to JPG

Choose the resolution

Web (96 dpi), Standard (150 dpi) or High (300 dpi) for printing. Every image records its dpi, so it prints at the page's real size.

Pull out embedded photos

Save the pictures inside a PDF at their original pixel size. Photos stored as JPEG are copied exactly as they are, with no re-compression.

Only the pages you need

Convert every page, type a range such as 1-3, 8-, or tap thumbnails to pick pages one by one.

Nothing leaves your device

Pages are drawn by your own browser, so the PDF is never uploaded to Mergevanta or anyone else.

FAQ

PDF to JPG questions

No. PDF to JPG runs entirely in your browser: the pages are drawn and saved as images on your device, and nothing is sent to Mergevanta's server.

Standard (150 dpi) suits screens, email and slides. High (300 dpi) is for printing or zooming into small text. Web (96 dpi) keeps files small for websites. Each image records its dpi, so it prints at the original page size.

Converting draws each whole page — text, drawings and pictures — as one image. Extracting saves only the pictures embedded in the PDF, each at its own size; JPEG photos are copied byte for byte and repeated images such as logos are saved once.

Browsers can't draw an image bigger than about 16 megapixels, so a very large page, such as a poster at 300 dpi, is scaled down to fit. The result names those pages and the resolution they got.
