Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By accessing or using Mergevanta (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service does

Mergevanta provides online tools that merge, split, compress, convert, edit, sign, protect and analyze documents. Files may be processed in your browser or on our servers; files sent to our servers are encrypted end to end, processed in memory and deleted as soon as the result is returned. We do not store your files. Text you send to the AI tools is processed by a third-party AI model, as described in our Privacy Policy.

• Summaries and translations are generated automatically and can contain mistakes. Check anything important before you rely on it.
• Signatures added with Sign PDF are visual electronic signatures, not certificate-based digital signatures. You are responsible for making sure a signature meets the requirements of your document.
• Redaction, compression, conversion and OCR results should be checked before you share or archive them.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not use it to:

• Process content you do not have the right to use.
• Remove passwords or restrictions from documents you are not authorized to open or change.
• Convert web pages you are not allowed to copy, or use HTML to PDF to reach private networks.
• Infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any person.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer for malicious ends, or abuse the Service.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the files you process. We use your files only to produce the result you asked for and never obtain any licence over your content. You are solely responsible for the documents you process and for keeping your own backups.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every file will convert without loss.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mergevanta shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.

7. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Intellectual property

The Mergevanta name, logo and interface are owned by Mergevanta. The files you create with the Service carry no branding and are yours to use freely, including commercially.
